It’s been hot and dry here lately, so it was fitting that for Alexa & Tyler’s Stanford University engagement photos we went to a cactus garden.

The Arizona Garden at Stanford was a gorgeous spot that I didn’t even know existed, probably one of many hidden pockets of beauty at the amazing school.

After the garden and a quick stroll around campus, we headed to the nearby Arastradero Preserve for sunset. We chased the fading light up the hill and got some nice golden rays before the sun dipped below the horizon, leaving the dry rolling fields bathed in soft twilight.
