Linda & Yi’s Palo Alto wedding Four Seasons Silicon Valley was a wonderful combination of beautiful wedding traditions and unique details that reflected the couple’s personalities and interests — fun details like Yi’s Zelda triforce cufflinks, the officiants’ Hand of the King pins, and a Star Wars lightsaber cake knife set.
Looking back on the photos from Linda & Yi’s Palo Alto wedding at Four Seasons Silicon Valley, I’m amazed at how much activity was packed into a day that felt quite relaxed — multiple hairstyles and dress changes, photo shoots in multiple locations, a tea ceremony and even a nice pizza lunch. The couple did a great job on their schedule, everything flowed well all day.
After getting ready at the Four Seasons and a first look in front of the hotel, we all headed over to Yi’s alma mater, Stanford University, for photos. Stanford has a reputation as a beautiful setting, and it’s well-deserved — at times it looked more like we were in Old Europe than Silicon Valley.
The Four Seasons was also a beautiful spot for a wedding — a wide green lawn for the ceremony and cocktail hour, a well-appointed room for the reception, and a wonderful fountain out front that provided a location for the first look and also the night shot that tops this blog post.
Lots of fun was had during the reception, which Linda and Yi kicked off with an amazing performance for their first dance, surely the result of many dance lessons and much practice. The unique details continued with Linda and Yi’s take on the bouquet toss tradition, with them throwing a Nintendo Power Up Mushroom plush toy to all their single friends. I love when couples take wedding traditions and make them their own.
So much I could say about this amazing wedding. Check out my favorite pictures in the gallery below.
