Aami & Ash’s Carmel Valley wedding was at a private estate perched high up a steep hillside, a Hindu ceremony full of joy, dancing, family & friends, beautiful decor, good food and celebration late into the night.

Indian weddings are full of color and tradition, they’re a joy to photograph. Aami & Ash’s wedding at Chateaux Carmel had the added benefit of an incredible view of the rugged mountains of Carmel Valley.

I was introduced to the couple by wedding planner extraordinaire Mandi Nack of A Sparkling Event. Mandi helped put together a great team, including Floral Designs by Reina, Pour Girl Bartending, Desi Jammers Entertainment and Avatar Indian Grill.

Aami and Ash were so fun to work with, and we had a great time when we drove to Carmel for some photos along the coast. After the portrait shoot, the couple walked to the beach to greet some friends, and Ash decided on a whim to roll down a sand dune. I love spontaneity.

I also love dancing, and there was so much of it to photograph: before the ceremony, during dinner, after dinner.
