Thank you for an amazing 2014

2014 was a big deal. I shot more weddings than ever before, traveled father than any other year, worked with incredible people at fantastic venues. And while my business and career was growing, my daughter was growing too, transforming from a baby into a toddler. Lots of growth and change.

I am constantly humbled by how privileged I feel to be able to do the work I do. Wedding photography is exhausting and difficult and time consuming, but it is oh so rewarding. Being trusted to document weddings is an honor, and a job that continues to move me. This year in particular had a number of very small, intimate weddings, which were a reminder of how integral my role can be. I spent many hours alone with my couples as they celebrated their wedding days, I signed a few marriage licenses as a witness, I sat at dinner with family members and chatted. Similarly, I got to document weddings with hundreds of guests, melting into the crowd as my couples were literally surrounded by family and friends, grateful for the opportunity to unobtrusively document a celebration as a photojournalist.

In the new year I’m excited to work with all the couples who have already booked me and looking forward to meeting many more. In the coming months I’ll be revamping my portfolio, deepening connections with both clients and other vendors, and unveiling some new things that I’m super excited about.

For now, I want to extend a huge and heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful people in the photos at the top of this blog post. You guys are the best, and it’s been an honor to document your weddings. Thank you for letting me be part of your story in 2014. Here’s to many more wonderful years to come!
