Imagine having a wedding ceremony on a bluff above the Pacific Ocean on a perfect fall day in a sleepy coastal town in California. Jasmine & Miguel imagined that, then made it happen.
It gets better. Everything was within walking distance: The house where Jasmine got ready, the ceremony site, the reception hall. Jasmine & Miguel’s La Selva Beach wedding was a relaxed and intimate day with family and friends, right here in paradise.
Before the ceremony, we did portraits in a tiny park in La Selva Beach that had about four redwood trees that were lined up so well, it looked like we were in a redwood grove. I love it when things work out like that. I also love when I’m able to sneak a couple away from their reception for a few minutes at sunset, especially when the sunset is as good as the one we got that day. (See the photo at the top of this blog post for evidence.)
Miguel does video work, and used his expertise to set up a slow-motion video booth at the reception, which led to lots of fun and lots of people being covered in glitter. Those glitter-covered guests knew how to party, too: Lots of dancing, champagne bottle swigging, impromptu toasts with shots of Fireball. Good times.
It all came together perfectly and made for a memorable and gorgeous wedding day. Check out my favorite photos from Jasmine & Miguel’s La Selva Beach wedding in the gallery below.
