The reception venue for Felicia & Hunter’s Pacific Grove wedding was called Gatherings, and although that’s a simple name, it perfectly captured the spirit of their day: a relaxed and loving gathering of family and friends.

The wedding ceremony was at Berwick Park in Pacific Grove, a lovely grassy spot on the Monterey Peninsula right next to the ocean. It’s a popular spot for weddings, and for good reason: look in just about any direction and there are spectacular backdrops for photos.

After the ceremony, Felicia, Hunter and I took advantage of some of those great backdrops. We had a warm, clear day, no fog, little wind, the best you can hope for on the California coast.

Gatherings was right up the street, where the couple enjoyed a delicious dinner, said a few toasts and socialized with their guests. It was a lot of fun.
