Any day spent in Big Sur is a good one. But when you’ve got amazing weather and a fun couple to explore with, it’s a great day.
That’s what we had for Taylor and Kip’s Big Sur engagement session. It was Kip’s first time there, and I think Big Sur was showing off for him, what with all the warm air, clear views and a gorgeous sunset.
We started the day with their son at the Big Sur River Inn for some family photos, then headed out. After the Inn, I was given free reign to choose locations, and I had picked out a couple new ones nearby that incorporated the river and forest. After that, we decided on a whim to make the walk out to the coastal bluff at Andrew Molera State Park. It’s a bit of a hike, and it was more than a little windy out there, but it was totally worth it.
We rounded out the day with a stop at Bixby Bridge and sunset at Garrapata State Park. All that and time to chat, tell stories and get to know each other. See my favorite photos from their Big Sur engagement session in the gallery below.
