I’m always on the lookout for new locations for engagement sessions, so when Abbie & Matt suggested we stop by Fort Ord, a closed-down Army base, I was thrilled.
In the end, the broken-down barracks didn’t seem all that romantic for an engagement session, but they were indeed unique. And that’s always good.
At our other locations for Abbie and Matt’s Central Coast engagement photos, we had amazing weather and a perfect sunset. We started in Old Monterey, at some classic locations in and around Monterey State Historic Park. From there we headed to Fort Ord, then on to Carmel’s Monastery Beach and caught sunset at Big Sur’s Garrapata State Park.
Abbie and Matt were super fun to work with, laughing and joking and having a great time together. They were very natural in front of the camera, despite Abbie’s insistence that she looked awkward (she sure didn’t).
Abbie & Matt’s wedding will be at his family’s winery, so we’ll have a whole new set of amazing locations to explore. I can’t wait.
