You never know what kind of weather you’re going to get during an engagement session on the beach. Will it be sunny? Foggy? Windy? Cold?

For Lauren & Roger’s Carmel engagement photos, we got all of the above, and it helped us produce a session with a wide variety of different looks.

We started at Carmel Beach, where Lauren, Roger and their dog Hank had fun walking along the water — and in it as well, when Roger picked up Lauren and carried her toward the surf.

We also visited Carmel River State Beach, where the rocky coastline was draped in fog, creating a totally new look and feel for the engagement pictures. After that, we decided to head to Big Sur for the sunset, and shot photos at Garrapata State Park, in the pine trees and along the Pacific coastline.

Lauren and Roger were superstars in front of the camera, totally natural and totally enjoying each others company. Everything came together to result in a fantastic day of photos and fun.
