Jessica and Andres’ wedding had everything: a hot rod, a mariachi band, a Banda group, a photo booth, a chocolate fountain, a DJ, and race cars.

Race cars? Yes, the wedding was held at the famous Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, and cars were on the track as vows were being exchanged.

The wedding was held in the Red Bull Energy Center, where I’ve eaten lunch as a member of the working press covering events like Moto GP at the track. This time, instead of time sheets and potato chips, there was a dance floor, cake and lots of dancing.

I was the second photographer at this wedding to the fabulous Glen McDowell. One of my little contributions was mounting a camera in a tree — a small, silent camera triggered by radio remotes to give us a different perspective on the couple during the ceremony.
