What happens when an opera singer gets married, and chooses another opera singer to be her maid of honor? A duet during the ceremony, of course.

That surprise was just one of the many awesome things about Erin & Jared’s San Jose wedding. The scenery, the weather, the live music and home-brewed beer and dancing and food … all elements that made their wedding such a great event.

Erin & Jared got married at the Santa Clara County Horsemen’s Association, a venue just outside of town that feels like it’s way out in the countryside. Because their wedding was in the spring (and because we got a brief respite from California’s drought just before the event), the rolling hills surrounding the ceremony were covered in beautiful lush green.

And a nearby field was dotted in yellow wildflowers; a backdrop for portraits that made me so deliriously happy that Erin and Jared were laughing at me while I snapped away.
