A couple months ago I had a great time helping out my pal Conner Jay with Hayley & Matt’s San Francisco engagement session. Conner wanted us all to have a fun, relaxed day — we would both shoot some photos, bounce ideas off each other, help out with lighting. The day produced some great images that I want to feature in this blog post.

The image above is one I shot, and that Hayley & Matt ended up using for their save-the-date card. Conner, as the main photographer for this shoot, produced some incredible images, which are below:

In addition to being great friends, Conner and I work together at a lot of weddings. It’s a working relationship I value highly, because we both approach wedding photography with a similar demeanor: work efficiently and expertly, never stress. And we occasionally take funny photos of each other, like this one Conner shot of me at the Embaradero:

Hayley & Matt were fantastic to work with, enthusiastic about all our ideas, never complaining about walking up hills or standing in the cold San Francisco wind. And at the end of the day they treated us to a dinner of Mexican food so good that just the memory of it makes my mouth water. Thanks, Hayley & Matt!
