Lauren & Justin's City Club San Francisco wedding

During the reception at Lauren & Justin’s City Club San Francisco wedding, Justin and all the groomsmen busted out a surprise choreographed dance routine to the song “Happy.” Not only was it an amazingly awesome surprise, but the song choice was appropriate, because happy is what everyone was that day.

Sure, there were tears, but they were the joyous kind, so much good emotion that some of it leaks out. Lauren and Justin were giddy with happiness, and everyone was so happy for them (which was evident during the speeches, when their friends and family gushed about how amazing they are, both as individuals and as a couple).

We started the day at the Hilton Financial District, where everyone got ready and Lauren & Justin had their first look. After that we hopped on a trolley for a quick tour of the city, and while boarding Lauren was serenaded by a happy group of teenage singers outside the hotel.

At our first stop, the Palace of Fine Arts, the happiness continued when a group of tourists gave Lauren & Justin gifts and posed with them for pictures. San Francisco’s famous wind did its best to remove Lauren’s veil from her head, so we acquiesced and went veil-free until right before the wedding at The City Club of San Francisco.

The sight of Lauren walking past a giant Diego Rivera mural to enter the ceremony was pretty impressive. The ceremony was beautiful and touching and joyful, and it led to a reception that continued in much the same vein. After sunset we headed to the roof for some photos with the foggy San Francisco skyline as a backdrop.

The reception was so much fun, with a great band, lots of dancing, a quick groomsmen visit to the cigar bar, and on and on I could go. Suffice to say that Lauren & Justin’s City Club San Francisco wedding was an incredible day with some pretty special people, and it still makes me happy just thinking about it.
