Sometimes weddings in churches are restrained affairs. I knew that Valencia and Antoine’s wedding wouldn’t be boring when it started with a dance performance.

Valencia and Antoine got married at Greater Victory Temple in Seaside, California, where guests were entertained by the Monterey Peninsula Gospel Community Choir as they arrived for the ceremony. At the beginning of the Seaside wedding, a “praise dance” was performed, and not only was it beautiful, it was also very fun to photograph.

The ceremony was touching. Valencia is an old friend — she was my wife Amber’s supervisor, and she attended our wedding. It was great to see her and Antoine so in love.

After dinner, cake and a few speeches, the newlyweds were anxious to get the honeymoon started, so they bid us all a fond farewell and headed into their new lives together.
